In one corner stood a terraced area with a large, old parasol / gazebo. The terraces were edged with stones, but in many places these had fallen down. They set about repairing the stone walling and building some steps up to the parasol, then moved onto dismantling the old parasol. All of it was rotten apart from the central pole. New materials were bought locally in a timber merchants all shapes and sizes of rustic timber could be found along with a few nesting pigeons. The new parasol was constructed to exactly the same design as the old one.
