Aims & Objectives
PROJECT PERU is a small, lively, totally voluntary UK-based charity offering food, clothes, education, shelter and fun to those in need in a country where nearly half the population exists on less than one dollar a day! WE OFFER ongoing support to our children's refuge in the desert shanty towns of Lima. WE DEVELOP new initiatives in Peru in the local community and in the high Andes WE REACT swiftly to direct calls for practical help from our refuge WE KNOW that our aid shipments reach their destination and are put to immediate use WE WELCOMEvolunteers of all ages and occupations both in Peru and in the UK WE SEEKto raise awareness about issues relating to poverty and development WE RAISE funds for our refuge in many ways - for example sponsored activities in the UK or trekking the Inca Trail, organising concerts, catering, craft sales, educational workshops, with individual donations and much more WE HOPE that you have a great time helping Project Peru |
