Sponsored cycle or stroll
for children & families
Alice Holt Forest, near Farnham
20 June 2010

The 3-mile 'family circuit' through the Forestry Commission's Alice Holt Forest near Farnham, Surrey, is suitable for children and accompanying adults — or unaccompanied children and even adults on their own.

We usually do up to 5 x 3-mile circuits during the day, fuelled by an ongoing picnic in the forest, and there is access to a great children's safe playground and "timber walk". You can cover the number of circuits that suit your taste and energy levels, and are sufficient to impress your sponsors. We ask for a minimum sponsorship per rider of £30, but lots more is very acceptable!

We start at 12 and go on till 5 so you can join us between those times. Do join us early.

We charge a small entry fee of £5 per participant to cover expenses and cost of the picnic, which we will provide.

Telephone 01483 576093 to get a sponsor form and further details.

Hiring bikes: If you don’t have bikes, or can't transport them there, you can hire them from Quench Cycles at Alice Holt. They can be reached on 07921 572498. Hire cost is £5.00 per hour. Email alice.holt@quenchuk.co.uk or ring for details in advance, but generally you can hire them on the day without prior notice.

If you can't actually do it that day, you can collect a sponsorship form from us, do it on your own, then send any money you collect, please. But we need to know in advance if you are raising money in our name for this.

In addition to sponsoring a friend or relative for the ride you can add more to your sponsorship very easily by making it a Gift Aid.

We hope you can join us. Hasta pronto!
